Simple. This is the place we call home. Too many projects across too many continents and too many interests made maintaining the number of country or theme-specific top-level domains unaffordable.

Biotechnology is my core profession. Creating pharmaceutical biotech startups is what I spent most of my professional life on. Mostly in Germany and Australia. There were also endless hours in virology labs and public health offices. On five continents.
Blue Ocean Ventures
The Australian pharmaceutical experience sparked an interest in the Blue Economy. Blue Ocean Ventures is developing Ocean-based or Ocean-inspired ideas.
Aurora Sailing
A voyage that started simply with the wish to spend more time on the water. Curiosity has led us to places we never thought we would explore.
Spirit of Adventure
A life time of Scouting, as a youth and leading youth – on land and on water. A journey on which we continue to explore the outdoors ourselves, but also to show the great outdoors, teach adventure… and contribute to positively impacting international relations to play a small role towards reducing the risk of conflict.

KING OF MOONSHOTS?
I don’t know. It’s not a title I gave myself. After months of deep discussions, a good friend concluded: “I don’t know if there’s a German name for it, I am sure there is a wunderbar technical one, but you’re like the ‘King of Moonshots’ – that’s what I’ll call you”.
Pokémon Networking:
Making it “Official”.
That story continued when a startup event created Pokémon cards for the attendents. A great idea to supercharge networking – “collect them all!” They pulled some info from LinkedIn… and created the first version. In parallel making business cards relevant again.
Learning to live with it.
The Pokémon card networking worked so well that it inspired a second version, which is the one you may have ‘collected’ when we met in person. Guess the pressure is on to deliver on all those great ideas. But no stress, there’s plenty happening. If you want to hear about one of those great projects, send me a text.
