UNCHARTED - Special - Capt. Kitty’s Log

Coming soon!

Summary

The UNCHARTED “Story of Aurora – Capt. Kitty’s Log” series tracks Captain Kitty’s transformation from reluctant, sweary Scout mum into a capable, if chaotic, skipper leading kids through real coastal sailing. It begins with her unexpected promotion to Scout Leader after the official leader is injured, forcing her to manage a camp with almost no experience but plenty of grit, humour, and profanity. As she signs on as a full Scout Leader, she gets repeatedly ambushed with command: first on a tiny Zoom8 and then on a low, overloaded “spa tub” ferrying Scouts and families along Port Phillip Bay.

Across seven episodes, she navigates capsizes, gear failures, seasick kids, failing radios, night arrivals, and near‑farce search‑and‑rescue calls, while relying on SLF’s maddeningly calm mentorship, her daughter’s skills, and the resilience shaped by her own tough upbringing. The expedition morphs from hardcore sail‑camp‑sail into a “Great Bay Hospitality Tour,” with yacht clubs, Scout halls, Marine Rescue, random SUV drivers, and even supermarket conspirators offering crucial help. By the end of a 90km, nine‑day trip that costs barely more than pocket change, Kitty realises the real story is courage, community, and being crazy enough to take the tiller when it’s handed to you—and she signs up for more, BUT this time on her own terms.
